Frostburg State University’s Brady Health Services has received a 3-year accreditation from AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care). Status as an accredited organization means the campus health care center has passed a series of rigorous and nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care.
Health organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC undergo an extensive on-site, peer-based survey of its facilities and services. Not all health care organizations seek accreditation; not all undergoing the on-site survey are granted accreditation.
“Accreditation underscores our long-standing commitment to providing the highest possible levels of quality care to the University community we serve,” said Mary Tola, director and nurse practitioner. ”We are pleased and proud to have our efforts recognized with this accreditation.”
This is the fourth accreditation received by Brady Health and it is in effect until January, 2010. Brady Health Center is one of only three university health centers in the state of Maryland to receive this accreditation.
Brady Health Services is an out-patient facility that serves more than 4,000 students on the FSU campus. Dr. Harjit Sidhu, M.D., is the participating physician.
