Comedian Lamar Williams will perform at Frostburg State University on Thursday April 12, at 9 p.m. in the Lane University Center’s Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall (ARMAH).
Williams is a native of Rochester N.Y. where he attended Brockport College and graduated with a degree in communications. While in school, Williams took up comedy as a hobby performing at amateur nights at the local comedy club.
Besides touring colleges, Williams was chosen to attend the 2004 Las Vegas Comedy Festival, and he was chosen as one of the Club Comic Picks for the “Laugh Across America” comedy contest. William’s unique comedy style is derived from his upbringing in western New York. During the long winter months stuck inside, one had to be creative, William’s outlet was comedy. Cleverly written, his material is not just funny: at times, it has the ability to say what we are all thinking.
