The Frostburg State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will hold its first recognition of alumni with outstanding professional achievements on Thursday, March 29, with the awarding of the newly established Alumni Circle of Excellence award.
ACE award winners are Krista McGowan, a political science graduate now employed as an attorney with Miles and Stockbridge one of the largest real estate and development firms in Frederick, Md.; John Pipino, a history graduate who is now Director of Technology Strategy for Doblin Inc. in Chicago; and Barry Phillips, a chemistry graduate now serving as Head of Site Management Americas for Bayer Material Science, LLC.
Among the activities will be a panel discussion with the three alumni that is open to the public at 3:30 p.m. on March 29 in Compton Science Center 226. Additionally, over the course of two days, the alumni will attend classes and meet with students in those same departments from which they received their degrees.
