Its spring and love is in the air! Frostburg State University will present lighthearted performances of Menotti’s “The Telephone” and scenes from Mozart’s enduring farce “Cosi fan tutte” in the Performing Arts Center Pealer Recital Hall on Saturday, April 14, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, April 15, at 3 p.m. Tickets, available at the door, are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for children under 16.
These fun and romantic musical offerings, a collaboration between FSU’s Music and Theatre Departments, will feature Opera Workshop students Amanda Funkhouser, Joe Brickley-Goldsmith, Olivia Hartman, Krystle Hutton, Lauren Kuhn, Kyle Medeiros, Arnold McNeal, Niki Sirios and Tony Walter.
Contributing faculty include Dr. Jonathan Hodel, Director of the Opera Workshop course; Betty Jane Phillips and Dr. Mark Gallagher, both providing accompaniment; Jennifer Clark, costume designer who has created the costumes for the Mozart scenes and Conrad Maust, who will provide the furniture and props for the performances.
