Frostburg State University will host a night of comedy featuring teacher turned stand up comedian, Jay Black in the Lane University Center’s Appalachian Station on Friday, May 11, at 9 p.m.
Black started out as an English teacher. After a few years and a few teacher-of-the-year nominations, he decided to take his high-energy daytime act and adapt it to a club setting. Through two years in the club and college circuit, he has wowed audiences with his creative take on our absurd existence. Black has been featured on Comedy Zone and was a regional winner of UPN’s "Captains of Comedy" competition.
As an added bonus, UPC will be giving away over $100 in door prizes throughout the night. Prizes include DVDs, gift certificates and more.
This event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the University Programming Council. For more information, contact the Lane Center information desk at (301) 687-4411.
