Frostburg State University’s International Film Series will show the Japanese film “Ringu,” The inspiration for the American trilogy “The Ring,” on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Lane University Center Atkinson Room. The viewing is free and open to the public.
The unrated film follows Reporter Reiko as she experiences strange occurrences after viewing a videotape of disturbing images. She investigates the tape's origin and attempts to stop the deadly chain of events.
The horror film, directed by Hideo Nataka, was a box office hit in Japan and is presented in Japanese with English subtitles.
