The Frostburg State University Programming Council will present critically acclaimed artist Mieka Pauley Live! at the Loft on Friday, Sept. 21, at 9 p.m. in the Lane University Center’s Derezinski Lounge/Loft.
Blending soul, blues, rock, acoustic and alternative styles, Pauley has a unique sound that has drawn comparisons to such artists as Ben Harper, Cat Power, Neko Case, Patty Griffin, Martin Sexton and others. She is the winner of the Rocky Mountain Folk Festival Songwriter Showcase, the Rock Boat/BMI Song Contest and the recipient of the first-ever Starbucks Emerging Artist Award.
Pauley has played hundreds of shows over the past four years, including bills with Eric Clapton, Wyclef Jean, Black Eyed Peas, Citizen Cope, Edwin McCain and John Legend. Don’t miss the singer who the Cornerstone Player calls “the next meaningful voice of her generation.”
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Lane University Center Information Desk at (301) 687-4411.
