The Frostburg State University Center for Volunteerism and National Service Programs announces that Angela L. O’Boyle joined the staff this semester as the new AmeriCorps*VISTA Project Director.
As the Project Director, O’Boyle is responsible for overseeing 12 AmeriCorps*VISTA volunteer members. She works closely with site supervisors and coordinates training so the AmeriCorps*VISTA members are well-equipped to take on projects and build relationships within the community to make sure AmeriCorps*VISTA members are serving the community’s needs.
O’Boyle is a Frostburg State University alumna and a past AmeriCorps*VISTA community development worker. She has volunteered for several organizations including Western Maryland Health System, Community Crisis Response Team, Citizen Corps, Citizen’s Emergency Response Team, Emergency Preparedness Caucus and Family Readiness Group.
