Frostburg State University’s University Programming Council’s Arts and Lectures Committee presents “Beauty Undressed” on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m. in FSU’s Lane University Center Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall.
Speaker Shannon Cutts has survived a 15-year battle with anorexia, bulimia, depression and anxiety disorder and will share her fears, motivations and stumbling blocks that contribute to the development of an eating disorder. Cutts got her start as a singer-songwriter but is a much requested motivational speaker.
Cutts’ message is timely, intensely personal, yet all encompassing. She takes participants on a journey though our media-driven culture to the core fundamental issues that are contributing to the rise of eating and mood disorders, low self-esteem and poor body image. Cutts is known as a compassionate and charismatic advocate of our right to feel good about ourselves, our bodies and our lives.
