The Frostburg State University Department of Music will present a senior vocal recital by tenor Joshua Ruppenkamp on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center’s Pealer Recital Hall. He will be accompanied on the piano by Betty Jane Phillips.
Ruppenkamp, a 2003 graduate of Fort Hill High School, is the son of Joan and Robert Ruppenkamp Sr. of Cumberland, Md. He is a Music Education major and a Theatre minor who is expected to graduate in the spring of 2008. Ruppenkamp is a member of the College Music Educators' National Conference, Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honors Society, Chamber Choirs and University Theatre. He has achieved many academic honors including Dean’s List, Academic Scholarship and Talent in the Arts Scholarship.
Ruppenkamp’s program will include works by Stefano Donaudy, Georg Telemann, Franz Liszt, Edouard Lalo, Francis Poulenc and Roger Quilter. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the FSU Department of Music at (301) 687-4109.
