The Frostburg State University Department of Music will present a student recital by trumpeter Anne Lewis at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Performing Arts Center’s Pealer Recital Hall. She will be accompanied by Betty Jane Phillips on piano.
The concert will feature the works of Joseph Haydn, Alan Hovhaness, Sammy Nestico and Alexander Arutunian.
Lewis is a senior music education major who currently directs El Sabor, a student-run Latin ensemble, and the Mountaintop Ringers at Frostburg United Methodist. She is a member of the FSU High Brass Society and the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference. Lewis will graduate in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in music, with teacher certification.
