The musical group One World Tribe will perform at Frostburg State University on Thursday, Feb. 22, at 8 p.m. in the Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall in the Lane University Center, sponsored by the University Programming Council and the Cultural Events Series.
One World Tribe, a dynamic group of musicians, began performing in 1994. They quickly developed a fan base by covering music by Bob Marley, Santana, Ruben Blades, The Meters, Stevie Wonder and Johnny Klegg. The group’s music combines the sounds of hip hop, reggae, funk, Latin and world music with a rhythmic intensity and proud social consciousness.
Their performance is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Lane University Center Desk at 301-687-4411.
