Because of inclement weather, the Friday, Feb. 22, performance of John Cariani’s play “Almost, Maine” at Frostburg State University has been rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. Reservations for the Friday performance will be honored at the Saturday matinee. Both shows will be in the F. Perry Smith Studio Theatre of the Performing Arts Center.
The Performing Arts Center box office will be open from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, for the sale of tickets to the matinee and to the regularly scheduled evening performance at 7:30 p.m. All tickets are $5. For information, call 301-687-7462 during those hours.
The student-directed play, which completes the Second Stage season, is set in the mythical town of Almost, Maine, and explores the mysteries of the human heart as residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected, unusual and amusing ways.
Playwright John Cariani will attend the 7:30 p.m. performance and speak with the audience afterwards. “Almost, Maine” is his first play, inspired by his hometown in northern Maine. In addition to writing plays, Cariani is an actor with a recurring role as a forensics specialist on “Law and Order.”
