Artist/Illustrator Mark Stutzman to Give Lecture at FSU

Artist/Illustrator Mark Stutzman will give a presentation titled “Illustration as a Career” at Frostburg State University on Thursday, April 3 at 6 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building Room 132, sponsored by the Visual Arts Department.

Stutzman will present the creative and commercial processes of illustration from conception to execution to client presentation through his own sketches and personal anecdotes. This presentation will help students understand the processes of working with clients and succeeding professionally. Included will be the artist’s professional background and actual commercial work.

Stutzman is best-known for his rendition of the “Young Elvis Presley” stamp. He continues to produce advertising, products, posters, magazines, book covers and more.
