Frostburg State University’s Jazz Ensemble will perform on Tuesday, April 15, at 8 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center.
The ensemble is directed by Tim Powell. Four saxophonists will be featured: senior Andy Branigan, sophomore Brent Mitchell, freshman Jacki Skeweis and freshman Justin Nines. Junior Grant Davis and freshmen Chris Ackerman, Greg Brightbill and David Wall will play the trumpets. The trombones will be played by juniors Brittany Lynne and BJ Lewis. Freshman Jake Lidard will play the piano. Freshmen Becca Snow and Collin Branzell will be featured on bass; Snow will also be featured on percussion. The drums will be played by junior Mark Gauthier.
The ensemble will perform works such as “I’ve Got the World on a String” by H. Arlen, arranged by M. Taylor, and “Hay Burner” by S. Nestico.
