Frostburg State University’s Wind Ensemble will present its annual Mother’s Day concert on Sunday, May 11, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center.
Directed by Philip Klickman, the performance includes the works “Fantasia in G” by Timothy Mahr, “Be Thou My Vision” by David Gillingham, “Variants on a Mediaeval Tune” by Norman Dello Joio, “Riverdance” by Bill Whelan and “A Movement for the Rosa” by Mark Camphouse. Camphouse’s composition attempts to portray the early life of Rosa Parks, the years of racial strife in American society and the quest for social equality.
