The first issue of the new student-written and student-edited magazine, E=(LG)2, is now available. The magazine, which focuses on environmental issues pertaining to Frostburg State University, was a semester-long project for Sydney Duncan’s English 402 class.
The class, “Editing and Production,” collaborated to create an environmentally friendly magazine using recycled paper. The magazine will continue to be published every semester.
Students are encouraged to submit materials for the fall 2008 issue. The magazine will accept 200-to-600-word articles that pertain to environmental or sustainability issues in Allegany and Garrett counties. Articles may focus on student research, class activities, nature appreciation, club activities and reportage as well as fiction pieces. Photos and digital artwork will also be accepted.
Though the print run of the spring 2008 magazine is limited, the magazine may be found online at http://organizations.frostburg.edu/LgMag/LgMag1.pdf. For more information, contact Duncan at 301-687-4225 or e-mail Lgmag@frostburg.edu .
