Comedian Rebecca Corry will perform as part of Frostburg State University’s Comedy Series sponsored by the University Programming Council on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 9 p.m. in the Manicur Assembly Hall in the Lane University Center.
Corry says her career in comedy began “when I came out of my mother’s womb thinking, “What is this, some kind of joke?”” After an 11-month run in the Chicago production of “Tony and Tina’s Wedding” as the pregnant maid of honor, Corry moved to Los Angeles, where, following her arrival, she appeared at the HBO workplace in her first one-woman show, “Have You Ever Been Called a Dwarf?” Corry beat out thousands of comics to become a finalist on “Last Comic Standing” and Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend.”
The event is free and open to the public. For information, contact the Lane University Center Information Desk at 301-687-4411
