Susan Perabo, author, writer in residence and associate professor of English at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., will read selections of short stories at Frostburg State University on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at Cook Chapel in Frostburg.
Perabo is the author of a collection of stories, “Who I Was Supposed to Be,” that was named a Book of the Year by the Los Angeles Times, The Miami Herald and the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Perabo has also published a novel titled “The Broken Places.” Recently, Perabo’s work has appeared in “The Missouri Review,” “Glitter Trails” and “CrazyHorse”.
FSU English professor Brad Barkley has nothing but praise for Perabo’s works.
“Susan is the most naturally gifted writer I’ve ever met. She is the only writer I know who makes this very hard thing we do look so easy,” Barkley said.
