Frostburg State University junior Elizabeth Maloy will perform a clarinet recital at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, at the FSU Performing Arts Center Pealer Recital Hall. The recital will include Schumann’s “Fantasiestücke, Op. 73,” Berio’s “Lied per Clarinetto Solo,” Mendelssohn’s “Konzertstück Nr. 2 d-Moll, op. 114” and Mozart’s “Concerto for Clarinet in A, K. 622.”
Maloy will be accompanied on piano by Jean Wood-Kobert and on the Mendelssohn piece by FSU instructor Mark Gallagher on clarinet.
A music performance major, Maloy expects to graduate in May 2010. Maloy has studied under Gallagher. Her earlier instruction was under Olive Wagner. Maloy is a member of the Friends of Music.
She is the daughter of Timothy Maloy and Renée Pelletier of Waldorf, Md.
