Comedian Jasper Redd will perform as part of Frostburg State University’s Comedy Series sponsored by the University Programming Council on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 9 p.m. in the Manicur Assembly Hall in the Lane University Center.
Redd grew up in Knoxville, Tenn., and began his comedy career in the city of San Francisco after aspirations of being a cartoonist, a musician and a sheriff didn’t materialize. Known for his quirks, Redd has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” along with performing with his comedy foursome, the Brainwashing All-Stars. He was hailed as one of the standout “New Faces” at Montreal’s “Just for Laughs” Festival in 2005, has been a featured performer in the “Comedians of Comedy” U.S. and appeared on “Last Call with Carson Daly.” He is also proud of his achievement as “Yo Mamma Joke Champion 2005” at Club Deluxe in San Francisco.
The event is free and open to the public. For information, contact the Lane University Center Information Desk at 301-687-4411.
