World-class musical ensemble Stereo Strings will perform “Holidays ‘Round the World” as part of Frostburg State University’s Lunch in The Loft Music Series sponsored by the University Programming Council on Thursday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. in the Derezinski Lounge/Loft in the Lane University Center.
Described as “an unforgettable holiday experience,” “Holidays ‘Round the World” is a favorite of those who want to celebrate the season with a multicultural imaginary musical trip around the world.
Stereo Strings, featuring award-winning accordionist Lou Copolla and violin virtuoso Stephanie Meyers, has been touted as a premiere musical ensemble that maintains the highest performance standards. Copolla is the first accordionist in the United States to win three consecutive national championships, along with numerous other awards. Myers has performed at the White House for nine U.S. Presidents, as well as at the opening of Ronald Reagan National Airport, and she received critical acclaim for concerts in Seoul, Tokyo and Barcelona for Atlanta’s Olympic committee.
