Frostburg State University will host a three-day workshop on grant-writing led by Dr. Mathilda “Tillie” Harris, a grants expert whose experience includes both writing and evaluating grants for a wide range of organizations. The sessions will be Jan. 20 to 22, running from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
All sessions will be in Compton Science Center room 224. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The workshop is designed to help participants develop, prepare and write successful grant proposals, research and identify appropriate funding sources and understand the diversity of the grant funding community.
Participants will learn the key elements of proposals, and the session will also discuss different approaches for various donors and other issues common to groups seeking funding. Practice in crafting the components of a proposal will be a key part of each day. Each participant should leave with a full content proposal outline.
