Frostburg State University Theatre will present “bobrauschenbergamerica” on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 27 and 28, and Thursday through Saturday, March 5 to 7, at 7:30 p.m. each evening in the Drama Theatre of the FSU Performing Arts Center. A matinee performance is will be offered on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m.
“bobrauschenbergamerica” offers a wild road trip through America’s landscape as one of America’s greatest artists, Robert Rauschenberg, would have conceived it if he were a playwright instead of an artist. The play paints a collage of people, places, music and dance by the way of love stories, picnics, business schemes, shootings, chicken jokes and golfing. “bobrauschenbergamerica” embodies the sheer exhilaration of living in a country where people make up their lives as they go.
