HCC and FSU sign dual admissions agreement
Release Date: 02/17/2009

(Hagerstown, MD) – Officials at Hagerstown Community College and Frostburg State University recently met to discuss and develop a dual admissions agreement between the two schools. The agreement is designed to make it easier for students who start at HCC to transfer their academic credits to FSU to complete bachelor’s degrees.

“We’ve long enjoyed a very positive relationship with Frostburg State University,” said HCC President Guy Altieri. “I’m excited that this new agreement will make student transfer to FSU even smoother and more complete than in the past.”

“I’m gratified that Frostburg State University is continuing to build closer ties with Hagerstown Community College,” said FSU President Jonathan Gibralter. “By making a student’s transition between our institutions as seamless as possible, we are enhancing Western Maryland’s educational opportunities in multiple ways.”

Pictured at the signing, are, from left to right, FSU Provost Stephen Simpson, FSU President Gibralter, HCC President Altieri, and HCC Vice President of Academic Affairs Judy Oleks.
