Frostburg State University senior Tony Walter will perform his bass recital Sunday, March 1, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. The recital is sponsored by the FSU Department of Music. The performance is free and open to the public.
Walter will perform several pieces from Mozart, Handel, Robert Franz, Schubert and John Dowland. Walter will be accompanied by pianist Betty Jane Phillips.
As a music management major at FSU, Walter hopes to become an executive at a record company upon graduation. Walter is a member of Alpha Phi Omega, the national co-ed service fraternity, and has worked under faculty instructors Dr. Jonathan Hadel, Dr. Kerry Jennings and Corey Trahan. Walter is expected to complete his degree in May 2009. He is the son of Clifford and Katherine Walter of Germantown, Md.
