Comedian Ben Hague, best known for winning the 2006 “Catch a ‘New’ Rising Star” competition, will perform as a part of the University Programming Council’s Comedy Series at Frostburg State University, Monday, Sept. 21, at 8 p.m. in the Lane University Center’s Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall.
Hague started writing comedy at the age of 16 while in high school. After attending acting school in New York City, he took the stage at the world-famous Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, where he began his stand-up career. Within just a few years, he's become a college and club headliner throughout the country and has worked with some of the biggest names in comedy, such as Dane Cook, Dave Attel, Gilbert Gottfried, Dom Irrera, Louis CK, Jim Norton, Robert Kelly and many others. After Hague won the “Catch a ‘New' Rising Star” competition, he made the cover of “POINT” magazine its first issue of 2007.
