Frostburg State University senior Brittney Noel Lynn will perform her senior trombone recital on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. The performance is free and open to the public.
Lynn will perform “Sonata for Trombone and Piano” (1941) by Paul Hindemith, “New York Variations” by Jeffrey Agrell, “Ballade” written by Eric Ewazen and “The Song A King David” by Norman Bolter. Lynn will be accompanied by pianist Betty Jane Phillips.
A music education major at FSU, Lynn hopes to become a high school band director and music educator. Lynn is a member of Alpha Sigma Iota, Low Brass Society and CMENC and is an honors student, making the Dean’s List several semesters consecutively. Lynn, who expects to graduate in December, 2009 is the daughter of Matthew and Michele Lynn of Church Hill, Md.
