Colleen Stump, who has designed and coordinated Frostburg State University’s publications since 1982, has been named Associate Vice President for University Advancement, with responsibility for the communications and media relations component of the division.
Stump was FSU’s first-ever staff graphic designer and has been the director of Publications for FSU since 1990. In 2009, she received an honorable mention in the University System of Maryland Board of Regents Staff Awards for exceptional contribution to the university, and has been twice nominated for FSU’s Staff Awards for Excellence. Under her direction, FSU publications have won several design awards from CASE, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
“This move not only acknowledges her years of dedicated and stellar service to the University, but also the leadership she provides the entire Division of University Advancement,” said Bernard J. Davisson II, vice president for University Advancement and executive director of the FSU Foundation.
Stump serves on a number of University committees, including the Strategic Planning Task Force and the Enrollment Management Committee. Her artwork has been exhibited locally, as well. A native of Butler, Pa., Stump earned a bachelor’s degree in art education and a master’s in communication media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
