Frostburg State University Department of Music hosts its guitar ensemble concert on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 8 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public.
The program will feature the guitar music of “Prelude No.4” by Heitor Villa-Lobos, “Estudio in B minor” by Francisco Tarrega, “Lagrima” by Fernando Sor and “La Huida de los Amantes por el Vale de los Echos from El Decameron Negro” by Leo Brouwer, as well as transcriptions of music by Bach, Granados and Ponce. “La Arpa del Guerrero Ballada de la Doncella Enamorada from El Decameron Negro” by Leo Brouwer will be performed by Stephen Turnstall, guitar ensemble director.
