Frostburg State University junior Lauren Kuhn will perform her vocal recital on Friday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public.
Kuhn, singing in the mezzo-soprano range, will perform compositions from composers such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, J.B. Weckerlin, Aaron Copland, Engelbert Humperdinck, Franz Schubert, Friedrich Flotow, Bernard Hermann, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Meredith Wilson and Ernest Charles. She will be accompanied by Judith Brown, piano; Darcy Gagnon, guitar and vocals; Emilie Waymire, Irish drum and vocals; and Ben Arden, vocals.
Kuhn is a music major, with an emphasis on vocal performance and vocal education, and hopes to become a music teacher. She is a member of Delta Omicron. Kuhn, who plans to graduate in May 2010, is a 2006 graduate of Northern High School. She is the daughter of Jeneen and Neil Hardegen.
