Frostburg State University senior James Ritchey will perform a trombone recital on Sunday, Feb. 7, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public.
Ritchey will perform compositions from composers such as Georg Phillip Telemann, Ferdinand David, Eric Ewazen and Samuel “Sammy” Lewis Nestico. He will be accompanied by pianist Nancy Witmer.
A music education major at FSU, Ritchey hopes to become a music teacher at the secondary level. He is a member of the Low Brass Society and CMENC. Ritchey, who expects to graduate in May 2010, is a 2005 graduate of Pocomoke High School. He is the son of Melody Turner and Gordon Ritchey.
