Dr. Amit Shah, a professor of management at Frostburg State University, received the Gold Medal Award recognizing his efforts as a global researcher at the 2009 Association of Indian Management Scholars Conference late last year.
The Association of Indian Management Scholars, or AIMS, was established to unify Indian management scholars to foster excellence in education and research, to advance knowledge and to support practices in all business and related disciplines.
Dr. Shah has been a prolific writer and researcher since joining the Department of Management in 1989. He has presented over 100 papers and workshops at various regional, national and international professional meetings and published over 60 journal articles and cases in textbooks. Shah has collaborated with other faculty members in a number of areas, such as micro-entrepreneurial activity, and has co-authored two textbooks on business. Shah directs the Center for Leadership Development in FSU’s College of Business, which works with businesses and organizations in assisting them in their leadership training and management development needs.
