Frostburg State University senior Daniel Reynolds will perform his senior trumpet recital on Sunday, Feb. 21, at 3 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center’s Pealer Recital Hall. This event is free and open to the public. Reynolds will be accompanied by pianist Nancy Witmer and the FSU Brass Ensemble.
Reynolds will perform “Capric” by Joseph Turrin, “Trumpet Concerto in Eb Major” by Franz Joseph Haydn, “Suite for Five Trumpets” by Ronald Lo Presti and “Sonata for Trumpet and Piano” by Eric Ewazen.
As a music major with a concentration in education at FSU, Reynolds hopes to become a high school band director on graduation. He is a member of Phi Mu Alpha, Collegiate Music Educators National Conference and is on the Dean's List. Reynolds is expected to complete his degree in May 2010. He is the son of Alan and Tracy Reynolds of Elkton, Md.
