Frostburg State University student Abbie Vanderwest will perform her senior flute recital Sunday, Feb 28, at 3 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Pealer Recital Hall. She will be accompanied by Sean Beachy on the piano and Ellen Grolman on the cello. The performance is free and open to the public.
Vanderwest will perform “Sonate V in E Minor BWV 1034” by Johann Sebastian Bach, “Passage” by Daniel Kelley, “Reverie et Petite Valse” by Andre Caplet, “Pavane pour une infante défunte” by Maurice Ravel and “Sonata Latino” by Mike Mower.
Vanderwest will graduate in December 2010 with a music major and concentration in education. She is a member of the Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity. She is the daughter of Roger and Diane Vanderwest of Hollywood, Md.
