The Frostburg State University Department of Music will present a joint junior recital by trumpeters David Wall and Grant Davis on Saturday, April 24, at 8 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center. They will be accompanied by pianist Amy Riffle. This event is free and open to the public.
Wall and Davis will perform several pieces from Vincent Persichetti, Kent Kennan, Johann Baptist, Georg Neruda, Eric Ewazen and Antonio Vivaldi.
Wall, a graduate of Southern Garrett High School, is a music education major. He expects to graduate in spring 2011 and is the son of David and Cindy Wall of Oakland, Md.
Davis is a resident of Cumberland, Md., and a junior majoring in music performance. After graduating in spring 2011, he hopes to earn a master’s degree in trumpet performance and instrumental conducting. He is the son of Dawn and Sean Santmyire.
