Frostburg State University junior Jaclyn Skeweris will perform her junior oboe recital on Saturday, May 1, at 5 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center. The performance is free and open to the public.
Skeweris will be accompanied by pianist Kung-Ae Kim and assisted by soprano Jamie Denton, Rebecca Snow on double-bass and Daniel Reynolds on Trumpet. Skeweris will perform several pieces from composers J.S. Bach, Benjamin Britten, Sy Brandon and Francis Poulenc.
As a double major in psychology and music performance at FSU, Skeweris hopes to study neuropsychology and perform and conduct music on graduation. She is a member of Delta Omicron and expects to complete her degree in December 2011. She is the daughter of Denny Skeweris and Sue Halterman and a 2007 graduate of Southern Garrett High School.
