The Frostburg State University’s Second Stage series will presents a laugh-out-loud comedy titled “Wonder of the World” from Thursday, April 29, to Saturday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the F. Perry Smith Studio Theatre of the Performing Arts Center. All tickets are $6.
David Lindsay-Abaire’s humorous production takes flight when Cass rummages through her husband’s sweater drawer and she learns a shocking secret – the kind of secret that makes her question everything about life. As a result, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery. First stop, Niagara Falls, where Cass teams up with a suicidal alcoholic named Lois, who plans to end it all by going over the falls in a barrel. As the wild ride ensues, our heroine and her sidekick cross paths with a loner boat captain, wacky argumentative spies, a questionable clown psychologist and even the aforementioned husband. Altogether, “Wonder of the World” is a postcard invitation for laughter as riotous as the roar of Niagara Falls.
