The FSU Department of Music presents its Opera Theatre spring performances on Thursday, May 6, and Friday, May 7, at 8 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. The theatre will perform various opera scenes showcasing the talents of some of FSU’s young singers/actors.
The program includes scenes, duets and arias, comedic and tragic, by Mozart, Gilbert and Sullivan, as well as American composers Aaron Copland and Gian Carlo Menotti. The director of Opera Theatre is Dr. William Koehler and the accompanist is pianist Sean Beachy. Members of the Opera are Elenilson Ayala-Orellana, Kristin Brown, Lane Conklin, Lauren Huyser, Laure-Ines Nassara-Wellibang, Britany Poindexter, Jessica Schimming and Brittany Stonestreet.
