Frostburg State University student Caroline Shedd will perform her senior vocal recital on Sunday, Oct. 3, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Shedd will perform several pieces from Henry Purcell, George Frideric Handel, Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Christoph Willibald von Gluck, Irving Fine, Frank Wildhorn and Stephen Schwartz.
Shedd is a mezzo soprano who expects to graduate in May 2010 with a music degree, focusing on vocal performance, and a minor in French. She hopes to be a cruise ship performer. She graduated from Middletown High School in 2006 and is the daughter of Tommy and Donna Shedd of Middletown, Md.
