The Frostburg State University Department of Music presents the FSU Wind Ensemble performing in concert on Sunday, Oct. 17, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall at the FSU Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students; children 17 and under are admitted free.
The program will feature the winners of the 2010 Wind Ensemble Solo Competition held last spring. Sarah Galvin will be playing the first movement of Mozart’s “Clarinet Concerto” and Lane Conklin will be singing “Nessun Dorma” by Giacomo Puccini. Also on the program will be “Suite of Old American Dances” by Robert Russell Bennett, “Sketches on a Tudor Psalm” by Fisher Tull and “Godzilla Eats Las Vegas!” by Eric Whitacre.
