Frostburg State University’s Sigma Tau Delta (the English Honors Society) and the Veteran’s Affairs Office will sponsor a Veteran’s Day Reading on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. at Main Street Books, 2 E. Main St. in Frostburg. There will be a candlelight walk before the reading at 6:30 pm, starting from the clock tower on the FSU campus and proceeding to Main Street Books.
Students, faculty and members of the community will read selections from works of fiction, poetry, journals, letters and oral histories by and about veterans. These events are held to recognize and thank service men and women at FSU, in the community and nationwide.
The reading and candlelight walk are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Dr. Mary Anne Lutz at mlutz@frostburg.edu.
