Frostburg State University’s bookstore opened Monday, Feb. 14, in a new location in the newly renovated Lane University Center. Nearly double the previous size, the 5,000 square-foot retail space is now front and center in the student union’s first floor.
“With our new location, we look to become a more integral part of the college community,” said Bookstore Director Melissa Hiller. “We want this store to become a place where students, staff and faculty feel comfortable to stop by on a regular basis to say hello or check out the newest arrivals in college merchandise.”
In addition to new fashion collegiate apparel from brands such as Nike, Ping and League, the new store will feature FSU team-specific apparel, an alumni corner and a section for Greek organizations. To increase convenience for students, additional registers have been added, and textbook pickup and buyback has been given a separate area all its own. Students are also able to order or rent textbooks online through the bookstore’s expanded web presence.
