In collaboration with National Poetry Month, the Frostburg Center for Creative Writing invites all artists who reside in Western Maryland to enter its first Poetry/Imagery exhibition. The exhibition will celebrate the combination of poetry and visual arts. The deadline for entering is March 30; show dates are April 7 through May 17.
All entries must have a published poem incorporated into the image with the author cited, and the poem must be submitted in its entirety in the text body of the e-mailed entry. Any original two- or three-dimensional work, installation or video projection will be considered. Accepted two-dimensional entries must be framed.
To submit entries, send a 5-inch by 7-inch, 72-dpi jpeg image of the artwork to sedodge@frostburg.edu. Artwork will be displayed in selected venues on Main Street in Frostburg. Entries will be judged by Gerry LaFemina, director of the CCW, and Pete Herzfeld, a faculty member of the FSU Department of Visual Arts. Awards will be given in the categories of two-dimensional, three-dimensional and student work.
