The 2011 ensemble features MacArthur Genius Grant winner Miguel Zenón on alto sax and flute, Guggenheim Fellow Edward Simon on piano, Grammy Award-nominated vibraphonist Stefon Harris and leading jazz masters Mark Turner on tenor saxophone, trumpeter Avishai Cohen, trombonist Robin Eubanks, Matt Penman on bass and Eric Harland on drums.
During their visit to FSU, SFJAZZ will present an energetic performance that explores the enduring melodies of pop music icon Stevie Wonder. Wonder’s impact on musicians and songwriters of all genres is presented to full effect in this stunning musical tribute.
