The English Honors Society Sigma Tau Delta and the Department of English at Frostburg State University will present an evening of readings from books deemed controversial enough to be banned or challenged. The reading will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. in room 133-B-133-C of the Lane University Center.
This event is held with the American Library Association’s annual Banned Books Week: Celebrating the Freedom to Read. This yearly commemoration, as the American Library Association notes, “reminds Americans not to take this precious democratic freedom for granted.”
