The Frostburg State University Center for Creative Writing will hold a “Manuscript for Murder” Mystery Dinner Theater Fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 18, at Maplehurst Country Club in Frostburg, Md. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.; dinner will start at 6:30 p.m. Viewers can participate, and people who guess the murder correctly will be entered in a raffle to win prizes. There will also be a silent auction and a cash bar.
“Manuscript for Murder” was written by Ann Buskirk and is directed by Mary Ann Chapman. Join cast members and other diners to discover who stole the unread, unpublished manuscript of Edgar Allan Poe from the Stone Tablet Library of Freezerburn University. “Murder and mayhem result as each character’s hidden agenda and quest for the manuscript collide,” says Buskirk. Cast members include Keith Schlegel, Stacey Utley-Bernhardt, B.J. Davisson, Scott Turner, Shelby Herbert, Jill Morris and Tom Bowling.
Tickets are $40 and are available at the Center for Creative Writing, the FSU English Department, Main Street Books and the Allegany Arts Council’s Saville Gallery in Cumberland.
