Community artists are invited to enter the juried art show “La Bella Vita” that will be exhibited on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Cumberland’s Saville Gallery. All participating artists must drop off their work Oct. 1 through 5, in FSU Fine Arts Building room 128, from 1 to 4 p.m. This event is open to all community artists.
There will be a fee of $4 per entry, and artists may submit up to four entries. Work must be ready to hang with secure wire. Entry forms will be available as artwork is dropped off. Artwork not taken back after the show will be placed in room 128 of Fine Arts until Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 6 p.m.
The juror this year is John Alderton, a local professional artist who enjoys landscape painting and is an accomplished muralist. He studied fine arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art with a concentration in printmaking and has won awards for 2D and 3D art in juried exhibitions.
The reception and awards ceremony will be on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 6 p.m. at the Allegany Arts Council’s Saville Gallery on 9 N. Centre St., Cumberland. It is free and open to the public. For information, contact the FSU Department of Visual Arts at 301-687-4797.
