Activities for Life at Frostburg State University will offer a Creative Movement class for children ages 3 to 5 years, as well as a Creative Movement II class for children ages 6 to 8 years. Both classes will be held on Wednesdays, Oct. 24 through Dec. 5, in room 106 of the Cordts Physical Education Center. There will be no class on Nov. 21.
The Creative Movement class for ages 6 to 8 will be from 4:15 to 5 p.m. and the class for ages 3 to 5 will follow from 5:15 to 6 p.m. These classes will introduce children to dance and movement. The students will learn basic fundamental skills, musicality and experience the use of props to enhance their movement learning. Dance attire, such as leotards, tights and ballet slippers or socks, are preferred. However, leggings, tight-fitting sweatpants and T-shirts are acceptable. Space is limited to 12 students for each class. Nicole Frost will be the instructor for these classes.
