Activities for Life at Frostburg State University will offer a “Move It and Lose It!” dance class for individuals over 16 from Feb. 6 through March 13, as well as a second session from March 27 through May 1. The classes will be held on Wednesdays from 7:15 to 8 p.m. in the Cordts Physical Education Center Dance Studio, room 106. Six participants are needed for each class.
Need to exercise but want to have fun? With “Move It and Lose It!” participants will dance to popular music and lose weight at the same time. Basic dance movements will be taught, and the students will follow along with the teacher to popular upbeat music for a fun way to get in shape. Participants are urged to wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement. Bare feet, socks and non-street shoes are all acceptable. Nicole Frost will be the instructor for the class.
Frost holds a Master of Arts degree in performing arts with a focus in dance education and composition from American University in Washington, D.C. She also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications with a minor in dance and theatre from FSU. Frost is an avid performer, choreographer, educator and mentor.
The registration deadline for Session 1 is Monday, Feb. 4, and for Session 2 is Monday, March 25. To register, contact AFL coordinator Amy Nazelrod at 301-687-7934 or email@example.com.
